What a Fool Believes
It has happened to the best of us. We see these wonderful newsreaders bringing us the day's developments, always so cheerful and perky. Then we actually have a real-life encounter with one and within moments, we are turning away and shaking our head, realizing what we feared most: This thing is merely a shell, incapable of independent thought and unable to converse without some catch-phrase like, "Boom goes the dynamite!" But thanks to the work of a Massachusetts company called Scouts Inc., we can rest easy and continue to be fooled, even if we know better. Scouts has become a formidable behind-the-scenes force in football, with its work displayed frequently on ESPN. The company provides nuts-and-bolts analysis, which is then fed to the all-knowing newsreader, who feeds it to us. So don't worry and be happy! (some registration).
