Plenty of fallout Thursday at the Seattle Times, where a front page story detailed one disgruntled booster's offer of $100,000 to Washington president Mark Emmert if he would fire coach Tyrone Willingham.
Husky beat writer Bob Condotta, writing in his blog, responded to general questions about the piece and the paper also ran a guest column from Emmert, who wrote: "Intercollegiate sports are a valued and valuable part of our traditions. But we must keep them in perspective, something often challenging to do."
Willingham certainly has the respect of his colleagues. This week, he was named president of the American Football Coaches Association for 2008.
