Mixing a Trampoline and Alcohol
Two great finds by the entertaining Sports By Brooks. Above, we have Bright House Networks Stadium, home of Central Florida. The place has a new nickname — "The Trampoline."
When the techno-pop dance beat of Zombie Nation's Kernkraft 400 is played, fans begin to jump up and down, causing the stands to bounce. Officials tell the Orlando Sentinel that there is no danger in this, but many fans aren't so sure. The 45,000-seat, $54 million steel structure went up in an amazingly fast 18 months.
Brooks also reports that beer promoting last Saturday's UCLA-USC game had been selling in Los Angeles for the past month. Given the concern over college-aged drinking, we find it interesting that officials would sign off on something like this.
