Congratulations to Muncie — home of Ball State — for the distinction of being the most affordable college football town. An average 2,200-foot, four bedroom, 2.5 bathroom home with a family room and two-car garage will run you $150,000.
Muncie edged Fort Worth — home of Texas Christian ($151,250) — and Tulsa ($153,750).
By comparison, the same digs in Palo Alto — home of Stanford — would cost $1,677,000. Palo Alto has no serious challengers on the top end. Chestnut Hill — home of Boston College — trails by $295,750.
Overall, the most affordable home price by conference belongs to the Mid-American: $230,272. The most expensive is the Pacific 10: $737,040.
Thanks to Ben Maller.
