Cardinal Rule
Nobody expected Stanford, a 40.5-point underdog, to remain competitive with USC beyond a half. But in a season of upsets, the Cardinal pulled one of the biggest, defeating the Trojans, 24-23, at the L.A. Coliseum and ending USC's home winning streak at 35.
