Another indication a settlement is unlikely in Crewcut Charlie Weis' medical malpractice lawsuit against Massachusetts General physicians Charles Ferguson and Richard Hodin, accused of botching Weis' gastric-bypass operation in 2002.Weis told Michael Rothstein of the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette on Saturday that the new trial is scheduled to begin July 16, just weeks before the Notre Dame coach gathers his troops for fall drills.
"It just had to be on my vacation," Weis said. "So it wouldn't be disruptive."
