Reggie Bush wasn't as fast as expected, Matt Leinart, above left, didn't even run and former tailback LenDale White, above right, did next to nothing at USC's pro day. The star of the show was 6-foot-6, 320-pound offensive tackle
Winston Justice, who did a vertical jump of 39 inches and registered
38 repetitions in the bench press of 225 pounds. It appears he will be a top-10 selection in the NFL draft. On the other end of the spectrum is White, whose stock continues to plummet. He participated in only the bench press,
managing 15 reps, one more than punter Tom Malone. And after weighing 238 at the combine, White has blossomed to 244 pounds. He reportedly was
253 pounds in the Jan. 4 Rose Bowl, saying he gained 20 pounds before the game feasting on Thanksgiving and Christmas meals. "I ate the whole turkey. And a whole plate of macaroni and cheese," White said in describing one of his snacking sessions. As for Bush, he didn't display the Michael Bennett-type sprinters' speed some hoped for, and Leinart, possibly fearing he'd be hard-pressed to break
the five-second barrier in the 40-yard dash, just blew off the drill. A breakdown of the events at USC can be
