You may recall the sexually explicit rap song by a
group of Miami players that circulated last fall and brought embarrassment to the university. Well, a group of Michigan players are in trouble after allegedly recording a
derogatory rap song about a female student. Juniors Jerome Jackson, left, Tyrone Jordan and Landon Smith are members of a group that calls itself "Mean Team." Their song, titled "Measly Penny," was brought to the athletic department's attention and a Michigan spokesman said the players
will be disciplined but not kicked off the team. Jackson is a three-year letterwinner and scored the winning touchdown in an overtime victory last season against Iowa. Smith has played in three games in his career and Jordan one. A tip of the hat to reader Kevin, who operates
this site, for the heads-up.
