It should come as no surprise that many newspapers are cutting editorial staffs. Now although this is a disturbing trend, there seems to be no end to the number of writers ready to work for nothing. One only needs to glance at the letters to the editor of a local paper to see some of the best prose in ink. And unlike many of the paid staffers at the paper, the letter-writers aren't afraid to let it rip. This week we present some offerings from
