Some clever soul from Boston College has developed a flowchart on how you become a fan of the Fighting Irish. We just love it when the good people at B.C., yet another school that Notre Dame looks down on, poke fun at the Irish. Ohio State fans might want to have this flowchart handy for your trip to Tempe. In other words, prepare to be called a gang of "thugs" after the Buckeyes' victory. And expect a lot of people to be limping around afterward with sprained ankles after jumping off the Notre Dame bandwagon.

You've certainly developed an honest dislike for the Irish... but that's the way it should be :). It's good to be hated again.
Btw, after a 10-2 season in '02, ND was not accepted into a BCS bowl game after getting shellshacked by USC. Compare that with this season, marked by an MSU game that was inches from ending in a Saftey, and a fortunate USC fumble from being perfect.
A word of advice to any team competing for a bowl bid... if you are going to lose a game, make sure it isn't a blowout.
In the interest of balance I've constructed a step-by-step guide (it's not a flowchart, but it works just as well) on how to become a Boston College fan:
1) Apply to Notre Dame
2) Receive a small letter in the mail
3) Apply to Boston College
4) Start booking plane tickets to Boise
