Iowa's next home game is Oct. 1 against Illinois. The Hawkeyes are not alone. Penn State officials decided to put in new turf at Beaver Stadium after chunks of the field were dislodged during the opener against South Florida. Now all the Nittany Lions have to worry about is Minnesota's Laurence Maroney tearing it up on Oct. 1.
