Crunching Hit


A nasty helmet-to-helmet hit by Oregon State's Al Afalava on Oregon's Jeffrey Maehl, who somehow hangs on to the ball. Afalava was penalized for the hit.

    This is becoming a pattern with Afalava, he took out Washington's Jake Locker on a similar play.

    That wasn't helmet-to-helmet. He clearly led with his shoulder. That's a clean hit if you ask me.

    Great job by the receiver to hold on.

    Helmet-to-helmet? No.
