Columnists' Corner

Dick Weiss, New York Daily News: He's not only on the Vince Young bandwagon, he's driving it after the quarterback guided Texas to a victory over Ohio State.

Chris Dufresne, Los Angeles Times: Preseason magazines are meant to sell product, not inform. Take Pittsburgh, for example.

Andrew Bagnato, Arizona Republic: Louisiana State rose to No. 3 in the polls after beating Arizona State, but the Tigers didn't look worthy of such a ranking for three quarters.

Mark Blaudschun, Boston Globe: Credit the Big Ten for breaking new ground. Before Saturday, no conference had three top-10 teams lose on the same day since the Associated Press started its rankings in 1936.
