USC Song Girls ... Need We Say More?


USC dismantled Michigan, 32-18, in the Rose Bowl, and the good news is that the victory sent the USC Song Girls into motion. And yes, we have the video! Now our good friends at Image of Sport did another tremendous job photographing the 93rd Rose Bowl. It was a perfect day in Pasadena, beginning with four F-16s screaming over the stadium. ... ... USC receiver Dwayne Jarrett, in likely his final college game, had 11 receptions for 205 yards and two touchdowns, much to the delight of the Trojan fans. ...
... The USC sideline had the usual display of star power, with Ronnie Lott, Matt Leinart and Marcus Allen swapping stories. But one former Trojan was missing. Reggie Bush reportedly was upset he did not receive a sideline pass and believes it was because his presence would embarrass the university. You might remember something about an NCAA investigation into whether Bush accepted money from would-be sports marketers. USC officials said Bush applied too late for a pass. Hmmm. ...
... USC defensive tackle Sedrick Ellis had reason to flex after a sack. Michigan quarterback Chad Henne found himself running from trouble for much of the game. Lloyd Carr and Pete Carroll meet afterward at midfield. ...
