SEC Fans Might Not Want to Read This

From loading up with nonconference creampuffs to a denying an undefeated Boise State a shot at the national title, Mitch Albom of the Detroit Free Press says college football is a mess. And he's not buying the "SEC is better" argument. "If the SEC is so superior, why did Arkansas and Tennessee — two of Florida's 'impressive' victories — lose bowls to Big Ten teams?" Albom believes the Ohio State team that beat Michigan in mid-November would have beaten Florida the following Saturday. Problem is, the following Saturday came seven weeks later. Thanks to the Midwest Correspondent.

florida's layoff was only two weeks less -- difference between 51 days and 37 probably isn't that much.

if OSU plays how they did most of the season, they beat UF. but to blame it on the time off seems like a moot point.

It's funny how when a big 10 team loses in the title game suddenly everyone talks about the long layoff. I don't remember anyone discussing this when Ohio State won the championship a few years ago. Or when USC dominated Oklahoma 2 years ago. This layoff has been around for decades. These guys need to get over it - the better team won this game, no matter when it was played.

waaah waah Michigan didn't get in the title game. Hey Mitch, if OSU had a 30 day layoff you think their fat ass linemen would be in better shape and be able to block the florida DE's?

After looking back at the games I'd say the Arkansas win is more impressive than the OSU win. Ginn should hand that heisman over to Mcfadden

correction, smith should hand that heisman over. ginn should consider dropping that bill gramatica school of celebration class.
