Gone to the Dawgs

Things don't always go as planned. Just ask Zach Landres-Schnur of UDubDish, the fine Washington Huskies blog. The native Californian recently posted a column on the site and confessed that he chose to attend Washington simply because of athletes, football in particular. Landres-Schnur details his first game at Husky Stadium as a freshman, with a team that was flying high under Rick Neuheisel. The future certainly looked bright. But then Tricky Rick won his NCAA basketball pool and the Dawgs fell to new depths. Of the past two seasons, Landres-Schnur writes, "Two years. Three wins. That's not what I signed up for." But with his time as an undergrad drawing to a close, he says, "I couldn't be more proud to wear purple." Well done, and if this blogging thing doesn't work out, he might want to try sportswriting.
