Did USC Cheat and Win at Notre Dame?

It's history now, but did USC's Reggie Bush, left, commit an infraction when he helped push Matt Leinart into the end zone for the winning touchdown with three seconds left in the Trojans' 34-31 victory? According to the NCAA Football Rules Book, he did. Bush even acknowledged as much afterward. “I used all 200 pounds of my body to push Matt in,” he said. Rule 9, Section 3, Article 2B states: "The runner shall not grasp a teammate; and no other player of his team shall grasp, push, lift or charge into him to assist him in forward progress." The penalty for such an infraction is five yards from the basic spot. And on the previous play, what was up with the spot of the ball? Instead of being at the three-yard line (where the ball appeared to fly out of bounds after being fumbled by Leinart), it was put inside the one. We hear it was a Pac-10 crew, by the way.

This picture clearly shows that the ball should not have been spotted at the 3 as you suggest. The spot was correct and the push is never called...end of story.

Perhaps people should be asking where the safety was on the 61 yard pass to DJ. After all, Weis said that they were in two deep and there is no way to complete that pass. The only answer is that the Safety was out of position and ML made a great pass. Such is life...such is football...move on

How many calls did ND get from the "Pac 10 refs" USC was pennalized way more than ND and even allowed to catch a ball out of bounds in the first quarter. Dont even talk about getting homered. Pac 10 refs have been out to get USC all year anyone who watched the Oregon and Arizona state games could have told you that!

ARE YOU SERIOUS?! The PAC10 has bee giving the games to USC! The non-existent "three-peat" is the best thing that's ever happened to the PAC10! The Oregon and Arizona games are proof of THAT! USC scored their first towuchdown against UO that should have been called back...got the ball rolling. Oregon marched the ball down the field and had their touchdown negated by a penalty that happened AFTER THE TOUCHDOWN. DJ or Smith bobbled a touchdown pass that was called complete. Need I go on? No wonder why Pete Carroll didn't want replay for the ND game.

The bobbled TD pass was against UofA.

YOu NDumb fans are all fucking morons anyways so go fuck yourselves!

Put USC in the SEC or ACC and do they threepeat? I don't think so!

Rhere's no threepeat anyway. They're still working on a RE-peat.

All we know is that USC won by cheating..they arn't the real number 1 team in America..we know that ND beat them but even though its not recorded it..thats good enough for me..

Anyone seen my meds? I'm a USC homer and booster. I'm glad most of our players are willing to take a pay cut and see the probation officer once a week so we can have mythical National Chumpionships.
