South Florida

South Florida has gone poster schedule crazy. As it did last year, the Bulls have issued five poster schedules. Our favorite is the one below, with a packed Raymond James Stadium at night. Our guess is that shot was taken last Sept. 28, when the Bulls upset West Virginia on a Thursday night. Thanks to Carlos.

Why are these jackasses giving the Hook 'Em Horns sign?

USF does lack for football tradition and, based on these posters, any sense of football history.

I would have liked your favorite if it didn't have the gayest chest-pump picture I have ever seen in the middle of the stadium shot. Should have just let the stadium define the poster and it would have been great.

yea Bevo, they do the "hook 'em horns" hand sign but move it around like they're twirling a lasso...

Gee, I don't recall reading that The University of Texas has given South Florida permission to use the trademarked Hook 'em sign!!

by the way the hook em horns sign is not trademarked. that sign was around before texas started doing it.

actually it is trademarked...

and Michigan stole Princeton's helmets. what is your point?

the words are trademarked...not the sign

we can do it because we are better than them... they barely beat UCF for crying out loud. We beat them by 50 points.

haha...that last one made me laugh

We actually packed Ray Jay a few times last year. WVU was the first, and by far one of the greatest moments in USF history. Expect that every game except the first will be sold out; Kansas will be a pretty hot ticket.

And the hand sign is distinctly USF now in Florida. Bulls have horns, too, so Longhorns just need to learn to share. This could turn into one of those "We are" debates, where Marshall, Penn St., and others claim ownership.

Plus, you can trademark that, but you can't stop anyone from doing it. Maybe we're all Texas fans...

And Charlestowne is right; a sold-out stadium shot would be awesome.

Maybe we Longhorns feel like our sign is being stolen because when it comes to football, only one school has ever been associated wit the gesture. UT began using the "Hook 'em" gesture before the University of South Florida was even founded. You have no history with the sign. Go anywhere outside of Florida and give that sign to a sports fan, and I guarantee they will assume you are from Texas. And the poster that suggested USF was better than TEXAS...you are an idiot. We would destroy you! Bringing up last year's game against UCF doesn't seem so smart considering y'all were taken to overtime last week by UCF. South Florida is a nothing football program with no tradition.
