Rome Has Something Against Ping-Pong

Jim Rome dislikes the recruiting tactics of Georgia's Mark Richt, who plays ping-ping with prospects. Rome prefers Madden, or Guitar Hero, perhaps. Thanks to Hk Tequila.

This has to be one of the dumbest things I've ever heard. Does Rome even follow college football? All Richt has managed to do since coming to UGA is lead them to a 72-19 record to go along with 2 conference titles and 3 BCS bowl games. As for his recruiting tactics being outdated, UGA recruiting classes have been ranked 3, 6, 6, 10, 4, 9, and 6 since his first season. But yeah, I guess Richt should take Rome's advice on this one.

And now you're saying its a bad thing that a coach invites players to his house, gets to know them, and participates in wholesome activities? Seriously, why would you want the type of player who is more worried about getting drunk and layed then getting to know the man who's going to be coaching him for the next 4-5 years.

I mean, I already hated Jim Rome before this, but now its moved to another level. I'm now nominating Rome for Biggest Douche in the Universe.

Wow thanks for the helpful feedback. What are you an English teacher? Considering what generally passes as English in most blog comment sections, I'd like to think, comparatively, I'm quite good.

(Bonus points if you find the pun)
