Scary Moment for Stanford's Pritchard

Happy to report that Stanford quarterback Tavita Pritchard, one of the heroes of the Cardinal victory over USC, has been cleared to play against California after this horrific and questionable hit by Notre Dame's Terrail Lambert.

that hit was unacceptable. how was there no flag on that play? any question of whether lambert was going for pritchard's head should be answered by pritchard's helmet...which was laying on the field. unbelievable.

and lambert had the nerve to celebrate after the play? what a disgrace. way to go, mr. weis.

I hate ND as much as the next guy, but I don't think he was intentionally going for the head. It looked like Pritchard slid, and the ND player didn't compensate in time, resulting in a head to head hit. This happens in just about every game. Unfortunately, it was a little scarier this time.

I do, however, dislike the celbration after the hit. When a helmet flies off, don't go dancing around the field. It wasn't even a good hit anyway, even if it were clean.

The hit happened pretty fast - at least Lambert had his head up. But what is really questionable, is putting an injured player back onto the field. Not to mention it was just a BRAIN INJURY - - -
